ABOUT THE FLORIDA TEAMCHEER ALLSTARS GYM
Gainesville, Florida - GO GATORS!

Welcome!

Florida Team Cheer was started in 2002 by Michelle Lewis. The gym developed several successful all-star teams at all age levels. These teams had a great deal of success, and in 2007 the Senior Coed Team was received a bid to Worlds and came in 14th. This was the first team from the North Central area to reach this level of competition.

The gym closed in 2007 but it has reopened to continue the established tradition of providing focused all-star cheerleading for girls and boys who are interested in pursuing the ultimate cheerleading experience.

The goal of the gym is to provide our teams (mini's thru senior coed) with the best coaching (cheer, tumbling, stunting) so that the kids can develop their skills to their best ability and then have the opportunity to showcase their talent. The journey is the key.

Our focus is to encourage and continually develop individual cheerleading skills including stunting, tumbling, dance and showmanship as well as life skills like dependability, teamwork and perseverance so that we develop teams as well as individuals.

The gym is here to serve the cheerleaders and the parents. We want to make the most of the considerable investment (both in time and tuition) that your family will make to cheerleading. We have worked to find the best experience for the teams while keeping the expense and efforts of the entire family in focus. We look forward to you joining our gym and being a part of Florida TeamCheer.

Florida TeamCheer

A CONFLICT OF INTEREST? NO WAY!

Over the years, competition cheerleading has become one of the most difficult and demanding sports there is. This is a team sport that demands athletes to ALWAYS put their team before self and requires hard work, dedication, determination, sweat and even some tears. We credit Florida TeamCheer’s past and future successes to the cooperative efforts of our parents, coaches and of course our cheerleaders.

We want you to understand the commitment the family has to be willing to make in order to be a part of our program. Similar to “Select Sports” (Basketball, Softball, LaCrosse, Volleyball, Soccer, Football, etc.), All-Star Cheerleading is also the equivalent of a “Select Sport” and thus should be treated as such in your athletic schedule. We do understand that kids like to participate in multiple sports; however, we require all-star cheer to be their first priority.

It takes full commitment from both the athlete and the family. Due to this, we strongly suggest that our all-stars not participate in other sports that will conflict with practices or competitions. However, if you do decide to participate in any other extracurricular activities, please make sure that they do not conflict with your commitment to all-star cheer before becoming a part of our program.

We work around all school (cheerleading) programs, as we understand many of our athletes participate in and enjoy both.
